After leaving Shakespeare's birthplace, we had a short
(10 minute) drive to The Bell Bed & Breakfast where lunch was waiting
for us. I had Lamb with roasted potatoes and vegetables and an apple
crumble for dessert. Christy had the spinach and parmesan soufflé and no
dessert. We sat with another couple on the tour from Texas who were
retired and had already been traveling around Europe for a few weeks.
After lunch, Christy purchased a 6-pack of cider, and got 2 pub
glasses to go with it. The tour guide was concerned about Christy buying
alcohol and drinking it on the bus. Apparently, that's illegal. Christy
now has a reputation as among the our guide, bus driver, and the people
on the tour. I should have taken a picture of Christy coming out of the
B&B with her 6-pack and 2 glasses... :-)
Apparently, Premier Tours normally uses a different inn for lunch,
but they normal inn was undergoing some renovations, so we ate at The
Bell today instead.
